Built out of necessity, and used in our own workshops for many years, we are proud to be able to offer these tools to the leatherworking community. This set of solid aluminum Bump Jigs™ can be used for marking, cutting, pattern replication, perfect stamp alignment, and so much more.

We didn't invent machinist squares or positioning squares. We also didn't invent the technique to use them; Artie of Mascon Leather learned the technique working with his dad when he was growing up. What we did do, is make some tools for ourselves in dimensions that we preferred, started using them in our shops, and Artie started using them on his Mascon Leather Youtube channel. When we prototyped our Bump Jigs, we made about a dozen different sizes, but ultimately we decided on our favorites, and those are the ones we now offer for sale; these are the ones with the optimal dimensions for leather craft. When Artie was seen using them over and over again in his YouTube videos, his viewers became curious about these tools to the point where we had no choice but to offer them for sale. We weren't sure if what we had would be successful, so we only produced ten sets at first to play it safe. We put them up for sale in February, 2020, and in 24 hours, we sold the first 10 sets of Bump Jigs™, and got 100 preorders. Since then, we've sold many, many more, and have changed the way many leather workers approach their work, and now the term Bump Jigs has become ubiquitous in the leather craft world. We saw a need, and we met it. And while we didn't invent the concept of alignment or corner jigs, or machine squares, or the techniques woodworkers have been using with them forever, we did coin the term Bump Jigs™ as it pertains to leather craft, and found the ideal dimensions for our very own positioning squares. The dimensions of this three piece set (listed below) are specifically tailored to how we work with leather. You can find generic positioning squares around the internet, but the genuine Mascon & ZeeBee Bump Jigs™ can only be found here or in our Etsy shop.
